Dr. Martinez
Denisse Martinez, DVM hails from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine by way of University of Illinois. She has spent time with Animal Advocate as the first class externs from University of Illinois, to our Medical Attendant for the past 6 months, to now a fully licensed doctor! I can’t express how much the team at Animal Advocate LOVES working with her. She started with veterinary medicine with a special interest in sterilization surgeries and it has expanded to a general love of medicine, clients and pets. She is a Chicago Native and fluent in Spanish. We are so lucky to have her as the next Advocate of Animal Advocate Pet Hospital!
Dr. Clay-Smith
Stefanie Clay-Smith, DVM, is our Medical Director at Animal Advocate Pet Hospital. She graduated from Tuskegee University in 2010 and quickly returned to her home town of Chicago. She specializes in client communication, puppy as well as senior care, dentistry, and evidence based medicine.
